Philip Gillen
Managing Director

Philip has being developing and applying technology to business processes since 1999 when he started his career in the IT industry. Incorporating StarTech in 2005, Philip wanted to create a company that would foster his passion and commitment to driving organisations growth and innovation through the expert application of Information Technology. Among other notable qualifications Philip is accredited with a BSc in Information Technology from the DIT and is also a Microsoft and CompTIA Certified IT Professional.

Michael Gillen
Director

A Chartered Engineer by profession Michael has held many senior positions in the Marine, Chemical, Pharmaceutical & Brewing industries. Before joining StarTech he was Process & Product Development Director of Guinness, part of the Diageo Group. With Guinness Michael managed and directed numerous multi million euro capital investment projects incorporating rationalisation, innovation, cost reduction and cultural change within the group. Michael was also on the steering committee of the very successful Guinness Storehouse Project which is now a top tourist attraction in Ireland.
